Checkmate! An Epic Battle of Minds at Jai Vatika Public School 

​The quiet halls of Jai Vatika Public School were buzzing with intense brainpower!

  We proudly hosted the much-anticipated Inter-House Chess Tournament, and what a spectacular display of strategy, patience, and absolute focus it was! 

​Students from all four houses locked horns over the 64 squares, turning the hall into a thrilling battlefield of kings, queens, and knights.  From brilliant opening setups to jaw-dropping endgames, our young grandmasters showcased exceptional tactical skills that left the audience in awe. The ticking of the chess clocks  and the intense concentration on the players' faces made every single match a nail-biter! 
​After multiple rounds of fierce but friendly rivalry, Afrazmeet Singh of Challengers House and Mehakpreet Kaur of Champs House emerged as the undisputed Champions of the board!  A huge congratulations to Runner-up Rajan Kumar and Chehakpreet of Elites House for securing the 1st Runner-Up position after putting up a spectacular fight. 

​Every single participant deserves a massive round of applause for their incredible sportsmanship and critical thinking.  As our Principal, Dr. Parvinder Kaur, beautifully summarized: "Chess is not just a game; it is a gymnasium for the mind." 
​A huge thank you to the sports faculty and house wardens for organizing such a flawless and exciting event. We can’t wait to see what our brilliant strategists bring to the board next tournament!

Teej Celebration

The festival of Teej celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of rains and greenery surrounded by social activities, rituals and customs. Students of Jai Vatika Public School celebrated Haryali Teej with great joy and fervour on the school campus. Kids came dressed in traditional Punjabi dresses. The campus was decorated with swings and items related to Teej. A giddha performance was also given by girls. Addressing the kids, teachers briefed about the importance of the day and mentioned that Teej was primarily a festival celebrated by girls and women with songs and dances mainly in the northern and western parts of India. Tiny tots participated whole-heartedly in the fun-filled function. The Punjabi boliyan were presented by little vatikans. Traditional dances, bhangra and giddha were performed by boys and girls. Shaping Future Journalist - News Reporter Activity

JAI VATIKA PUBLIC SCHOOL Class IV – News Reporter Activity The News Reporter Activity was organized for the students of Class IV to enhance their communication skills, confidence, and awareness of current events. They confidently presented National News , International News , Sports News , Weather Report , and Positive News of the Day with clear pronunciation and expressive voice modulation. The activity helped students improve their public speaking, vocabulary, presentation skills, and stage confidence, while encouraging creativity, teamwork, and interest in current affairs. The event was interactive, enjoyable, and a great learning experience. Every student participated with enthusiasm, making the activity both memorable and enriching.
