Baisakhi Celebration

The Kindergarten wing of Jai Vatika Public School celebrated the vibrant festival of Baisakhi with great enthusiasm and joy on 10/04/2026. The special assembly was filled with colour, energy, and cultural spirit as our young learners beautifully showcased the rich traditions of Punjab.
The highlight of the celebration was a delightful ramp walk, where students confidently walked the stage dressed in traditional Punjabi attire. Their bright outfits and cheerful smiles truly reflected the festive spirit.
Adding to the excitement, the children performed lively dance performances on Punjabi music, spreading happiness all around. Their energetic moves and expressions won everyone’s hearts and created a joyful atmosphere.
The celebration was not only fun-filled but also educational, helping students understand and appreciate the significance of our cultural festivals. It was indeed a memorable day filled with learning, confidence, and joy.

The festival of Teej celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of rains and greenery surrounded by social activities, rituals and customs. Students of Jai Vatika Public School celebrated Haryali Teej with great joy and fervour on the school campus. Kids came dressed in traditional Punjabi dresses. The campus was decorated with swings and items related to Teej. A giddha performance was also given by girls. Addressing the kids, teachers briefed about the importance of the day and mentioned that Teej was primarily a festival celebrated by girls and women with songs and dances mainly in the northern and western parts of India. Tiny tots participated whole-heartedly in the fun-filled function. The Punjabi boliyan were presented by little vatikans. Traditional dances, bhangra and giddha were performed by boys and girls.
