Teacher's Orientation Programme

Capacity Building Program on Effective Classroom Management was conducted today, 25.06.2024 by Ms. Bhavdeep Kohli, a reputed Teacher trainer/ Resource person, Counsellor and parenting coach with an experience of more than two decades in the field. It essentially looked into the handling Gen-X and the ways to make the teacher student interaction effective and fruitful. Emphasis was laid on bringing the best out of each student. 7 Cs of communication skills, 4 Cs of 21st century skills and The Scamper Model of Seven perspectives to provoke creative solutions to challenging problems etc. were discussed during the session.

The workshop began with an ice- breaking session, wherein teachers with the same month of birthday were required to group together.
Ms. Bhavdeep, brought out the weak areas which impacts learning in the class and guided the teachers to take note off and thus empower themselves and work towards achieving effective classroom management.
By the end of the workshop, teachers were able to evaluate teaching strategies that empower them with skills and expertise to manage a diverse group of students effectively in their class.
The workshop was a great success as the teachers refreshed all the skills required in handling the alpha Generation kids through several interactive activities.

Teej Celebration

The festival of Teej celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of rains and greenery surrounded by social activities, rituals and customs. Students of Jai Vatika Public School celebrated Haryali Teej with great joy and fervour on the school campus. Kids came dressed in traditional Punjabi dresses. The campus was decorated with swings and items related to Teej. A giddha performance was also given by girls. Addressing the kids, teachers briefed about the importance of the day and mentioned that Teej was primarily a festival celebrated by girls and women with songs and dances mainly in the northern and western parts of India.
