JVPS always believes in imparting practical knowledge to students🧑‍🎓 and making them sensitive towards global environmental issues, making them aware of their responsibility towards nature, natural resources and the social issues such as poverty, hunger, quality education and many more in order to sustain our planet earth. These efforts of school has been appreciated and honoured by🥰 *ARC SDG Awards* from past few years. The aim of the award was to recognise the work done by schools towards Sustainable Planet🌍. This year over 450 applications in various categories, from 15+ countries and 5 continents were part of the event , *Jai Vatika Public School* won🥳 *awards* for its work in different segments like *Green eco friendly campus* , *community work* , *social responsibility* and SDG integrated curriculum and lesson plans under *Emerging* *SDG Champion. One of our Educator Mr. Rohit Menon* won🥳award in the *Educator Category* for *SDG -7 Affordable and Clean Energy.* It was indeed a very proud🤗 moment for the entire team. His efforts brought laurels🎊 to school. Our honourable *Director Ma'am Mrs. Vanisha Bansal* and respected *Principal mam Mrs. Rinki Chakraborty Singh* appreciated and congratulated 👏 the award winning teacher and the staff for their wonderful amalgamation of SDG Goals into the curriculum and implementation of SDGs and becoming *global citizens.*

Teej Celebration

The festival of Teej celebrates the bounty of nature, arrival of rains and greenery surrounded by social activities, rituals and customs. Students of Jai Vatika Public School celebrated Haryali Teej with great joy and fervour on the school campus. Kids came dressed in traditional Punjabi dresses. The campus was decorated with swings and items related to Teej. A giddha performance was also given by girls. Addressing the kids, teachers briefed about the importance of the day and mentioned that Teej was primarily a festival celebrated by girls and women with songs and dances mainly in the northern and western parts of India. Tiny tots participated whole-heartedly in the fun-filled function. The Punjabi boliyan were presented by little vatikans. Traditional dances, bhangra and giddha were performed by boys and girls.
